Brose those Yvonnes ever expanding body of work.
Creating one of a kind art works that will evoke special meanings for those special moments in life.
Art that has individual meaning to it's owner, Yvonne creates pieces that will celebrate, commemorate and treasure a personal memory or moment.
Yvonne is South African born, but now lives in Spring, Texas.
A self-confessed "Hobby-Holic", Yvonne was always searching for an "Art" rather than a craft. By manipulating pewter metals, Yvonne has found her ideal art form.
Family is expectionally important to Yvonne, so her "team" consists of her close knit family. Husband Neville, has encouraged Yvonne through their 40 something years of marraige, and has been the perfect "Art husband" traveling to shows, exhibitions and displays. Yvonne has a baseball team of grandsons that keep her on her toes, whether in the art studio at home, or on the baseball field.
Once Yvonne is satisfied with the peice, the back side of the art work is filled with a wax, cleaned, and patinated with chemicals, polished and sealed.
THe Pewter artwork is protected with an acrylic coating to preserve the shine.
Being that Yvonne's home town is Durban South Africa, but she now lives in Houston Texas, it seemed only fitting we found a name that represented both.... and as luck, or geography would have it.... Both cities lie on the 29 degree latitude!
Houston 29 degrees North
Durban 29 degrees South
So it is was an obvious choice.... 29Squared
